Images of shoppers

For many in Lubumbashi shopping is a daily activity, a time shared with family and friends. This first photo of a focused mother is one of my favorites--dressed beautifully with daughter at her side, baby secured to her back and transporting live chickens.

We never tire of seeing the beautiful Congolese prints worn by women in DRC.

  1. Sister Packer sent me the link to your blog. I wish that I'd have had it sooner. I read the whole set of posts from Lubumbashi. I must admit it made me homesick for that place as well as those people. They will be in our hearts forever. I recognized some of the places and all the kinds of things you talked about. It was so fun! And then WORMS! Are you kiddding? Ron is so brave!?
Loved sharing. I'm going to use your blog as reading material on our trip home. 37 hours We go home a week from tomorrow. Hard to belive. Where did the time go? Can't wait to hug a grandkid.
